AAA HELLO. Sorry I haven't updated here in 5ever! I was really busy with graduating and then the shock of graduating and then the consuming lust of tumblr. (misslucid.tumblr.com if you want to follow me~I post 3000% more art there haha)

ANYWAY. Done with MCAD! THANK GOD AGH. I loved my education, but I was just so over it at that point. Been derping around the past few months doing freelance and trying to get my own projects together after being forced to ignore them for the past few years because of school. Just got a job as a fulltime illustrator nearby and I just moved to a new apartment AND I GOT A CAT. Her name is Quark and she is a black fluffball and is currently eating the boxes of Vixen books in my closet. :I

OH AND VIXEN BOOKS ARE IN.
They are shiny as hell and the printing quality is awesome!! Omg they look great /prouddurr. If you'd like to get your hands on one, I've opened a store on Storenvy: lucidcomics.storenvy.com where you can purchase one for $10 or $20 for a sketched-in one!

AND I KNOW...I HAVE ACID MONDAY UP THERE...
But they're not available hee. You may have heard that I'm planning on doing a reprint BUT I will be including a brand new extra chapter! .>. So I'm currently working on getting that finished/overcoming the mental hurdle of drawing these fuckers again before I start taking preorders.

AAAAND I'm still relaunching GHOST!
Fuq all y'all I do what I want. I've got the first chapter mostly scripted out, and once I have enough pages for a reasonable buffer I'll begin uploading AT LEAST WEEKLY. No more update famines because of school yiis. Been kinda slow getting the ball rolling on this again, but now things are settling down and I'M REALLY PUMPED.

So yep. Life is good. =u= Carry on, dA, as I will probably forget about you for several months again oops.

(Also no update on Impact Theory other than whatever sleepless enthusiasm I had for it a few months ago died and now as I am working on the Acid Monday reprint extra I realize that I can no longer write a fucking decent love story like I used to. I overthink everything now and gay comics do not really benefit from that traditionally. Having a bit of a crisis with it. Haven't given up. It just may be a while longer.)

        Ahoy! I am Danielle Keller, also known by my comic alias, Lucid. I am a fulltime illustrator by day, freelance designer by night, and I guess I do comics when I'm sleeping?? I DON'T KNOW HOW I FIND TIME FOR IT EITHER. Illustration and design are fun and keep me from starving and stuff, but writing/drawing/designing/publishing my own comics is what I am most passionate about! I'm inspired by manga, but years of art school has burned something of an indiesque edge to my work. I like dark stories about guns and death and then unfortunatley sometimes gay dudes and/or ladies.

I'm a 2011 graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design where I got a BFA in Comic Art (why) with a focus in Graphic Design (I like how neither of those are in my actual job title). I like cats and am secretly a giant space/science nerd that listens to npr and seriously needs to be more exciting because I'm writing this on a Saturday night /sob

I recently read your FAQ and it was really informative! However I was hoping if you ever have the spare time, perhaps you could make a journal or something that goes more in depth on how you go about making your comics.

I know you're really busy so I understand if you don't, but you have got to be one of my most favorite artists of all time. I've read all of your comics a dozen times, and they are all really inspiring and beautiful! I've always been curious how you go about it.

Got my copy of Vixen in the mail and it is beautiful. <3 Also, I really enjoyed the story. Hadn't read it at all online, I was saving my virginity for the printed book. I'm very glad I bought it! 8D <3 And that sketch of May and Skittlez prompted a porn sketch after finishing my read. +___+ yeeeeeh.

So good job. I really hope you might make it to a con or two with Vixen, I bet it would sell, it's super pretty. c:
